My new stuff

I thought I'd share the new things that I added in the house over the past couple of weeks.  I got the island cabinet set, and the gas cook top hooked up.

I ordered and installed the light fixture over the cook top and the counter stools.

They turned out to be a little redder than they appeared, but I still love them.  They are very well made, comfortable, heavy and look really expensive, so I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I got the bakers rack moved in and decorated for now, I'm sure I will be changing it, but it's good for now.

So, I am continuing to get things done. I'm now starting to sell items that I will not be utilizing and hopefully by mid to the end of February I won't have storage, that is my goal!  We'll see how that goes.  I'll keep you posted.  This downsizing thing is hard, in case anyone wants to know.  By the time this is over, I'll be an expert, so contact me... LOL.

Have a wonderful evening and a happy Sunday.

Hugs,
Ginger

  3. Your kitchen is coming together very nicely, Ginger! I know that I have downsizing in my future - in some ways I dread it and in other ways I look forward to it.

  4. Downsizing is hard. We downsized when we moved from Mt. brook out to N. Shelby County. Now Trip is bringing in tons of his mom's stuff, and I have tons of Et's stuff still at her house. I told Trip we either need a larger house, or donate/sell/store some things. We might need to store some things for the girls.

I think your breakfast room looks so pretty, Ginger. i like your barstools A LOT! I like the contrast in color with everything else in the room. I can see you decorating the baker's rack seasonally.

    Enjoy your Sunday!

  7. It looks like you have two ranges, Ginger, how wonderful! You must really love to cook and you can cook with a gas range even if the electricity is out, right?
Your kitchen is beautiful and those bar chairs are really lovely.

  9. I know what you mean about downsizing, Ginger. We still have a couple pieces of furniture that won't fit in the house, but don't want to give away. Your home is looking so nice, and it's a treat to see all the decorating that you've done. It gives me inspiration for my own home, so thank you. I love your kitchen and countertops.

  11. The island turned out beautifully! I have started my spring cleaning. I took 7 huge garbage sacks to charity today and gave my daughter tons of dishes. It doesn't look like I have done a thing! How despressing!! Living 22 years in a house it sure gets filled up but I am going to keep attacking closets and cupboards!
