THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT!

I am so bad!  I caved in like a bad pot hole!

I have been biting my tongue until it almost bleeds every time I go to the store because they are getting in all those beautiful, fresh, colorful flowers!  I kept telling myself, NO!, NO!, NO!!!!! You don't "need" them.  You don't "need" to spend money on frivolous items!  "Remember your goal to not spend money on things you don't need at least through March"!  We'll the devil won today!  I sold out my goals for flowers!

Well, I feel so much better.  I got them in the clearance bin and now I can stop thinking about it and move on!  I don't think $3.99 will break me.

Hugs, have a happy cheery, colorful day!  I'm enjoying my pretty fresh flowers!  Have you caved in lately?

  1. They are very pretty. Like you I am not one to normally spend money on frivolous things, but sometimes it's just makes you feel good to do just that. Now me, I'll wait until I can go cut some from my gardens. Enjoy them while they're there.
Hope all is going well with grandma. Saw your post on GW and thought I would come over and be one of your new followers. Stop by when you can and follow if you will and we'll stay in touch.

  3. I would have given in, too, I'm sure. BTW, I've never heard "caved like a pothole". I thought that was funny.

  12. LOL I bought those daisies in the $1.99 bin, and they looked pitiful when I bought them. Now they are revived and I have had them over two weeks!!!

I think that flowers should be part of our grocery budget...instead of buying oreos....and then we will look as pretty as the flowers ;P

  17. I know what you mean about spending money on things that you might not "need" but if something makes you smile and feel happy for even one day, I don't think that is wasting money! Your blog looks great!
