Glass! and other favorite things

As you can see by my new header, I've gotten attached to glass items this year.  I got these really neat blown glass oil candles for a gift at Christmas.  I love them.  They are so dainty and cute.  I just love them.  They are from Firelight Glass and mine are called Sonata Stem Oil Candle Trio.  They have a lot of unique ones.

My "sista" cousin sent me these beautiful large hand painted wine goblets that I just love.  They have these beautiful hibiscus blooms on them and I love the colors.

I also got this beautiful blown glass ball with all these beautiful colors.  I have it hanging in my kitchen picture window and when the sunlight shines through, all these colors are just magical! See the tree inside?   Love it.

My other favorite thing that I receive as a gift is this beautiful colorful calendar.  It is by Ling Chang and I look forward to this gift every year and can't wait to change it each month.  They brighten my office and my day!
Hugs and love,

    1. I can't seem to leave comments to anyone's posts except by doing a 'reply.' Does anyone happen to know what might be wrong? ANYway, just wanted to say hi and 'beautiful glass objects, especially that orb with the tree inside!' Hope you're having a good 2012.

  9. Things to consider when choosing glass would be the degree of transparency or opaqueness you want to see in your finished window.Let's say you plan on building a stained glass bird. Choose a glass that has realistic colors and textures for that bird. When you are getting your pieces ready for cutting out,Glasses piece look at the direction of the pattern in the glass try to imagine the feathers, wings, and body of the bird, already completed.
