2012 GOALS

I am not one to make New Year's "resolutions", but I do try to set some new goals for myself so I have things to look forward to and to work toward.  Nothing serious.  Of course, like everyone else in the whole wide world, I would not mind dropping a couple of pounds, getting more excercise, all that stuff, but the things I really want to focus on this year are:

Eating more healthy.  I already eat fairly healthy, but I want to do  better.  I'm really trying to get more fruits and vegetables in me and lots of protein and less fat and meat.  No way could I be a vegetarian all the way, but I want to attempt to do better.

No more chips and crackers.  They are my weakness and I love salty and savory things.  I am going to try not to buy them anymore!! Not even the more healthy ones.  If I buy them, I WILL eat them, ALL!

Walk more.  I try to walk everyday that I do not work, but I am bad not to walk if its raining, or it's cold, or too hot, you get the picture?  I really want to do better. 

But, most of all, my number one goal for 2012 is to stop spending money friviously!!  I am pretty frugal, but I sometimes just go crazy!  I resolve, I will not do that this year!!  No really, I'm serious. :D  I really do not need a thing.

So far, I've been doing pretty good since the beginning of the year and I hope I can keep it up all year.  I have a "big" class reunion coming up this summer, which I'm using for my inspiration! 

Wish  me luck, because I'm going to need it!

  1. Sounds like we have pretty much the same goals. I am really watching spending right now as we have some big home repairs coming up.

  2. I have been getting healthy since before Thanksgiving, and I am glad I got a head start on the beginning of the year!

    We are having to be more frugal with Shanley Belle in college.

  4. Yes tightening the belt in more ways than one sounds like a winner to me. I am trying to lose a few pounds myself, not by doing anything crazy, just cutting back and eating healthy like you mentioned.

  5. Chips are my weakness too. I mean serious weakness. I have zero willpower when they are around. I haven't been eating that great and need to do better. Thanks for sharing your goals...it helps to see what others are doing. Hope all is well and you are having a great week!
