Happy Holidays Ya'll!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and survived all the turkey and stuffing, Black Friday and Shop Small Business Saturday!  I think I have.  I crashed and burned last night and have done my Christmas decorating splashes today along with housework and laundry.  I will be working in retail right up through Christmas Eve, so no tree for this girl.  I'm leaving Christmas Day for the Bahama's!!  Two hours and twenty minute non-stop flight to warmth and sand, so I guess you could say all I want for Christmas is a really good tan!!!  Yes, it really is a song!

I thought I'd share what little decorating I've done.  I made everything myself, the wreaths, arrangements, everything.  Spent very little dollars, just used things I already had, nature things, and picked up a few things at the Dollar Tree.

My front door and porch.  The pot on the left is white pine trimmings, magnolia branches and holly trimmed from my yard.

Backdoor...

Kitchen door.... okay, I lied, I did not make this.  But I have to have something flat to fit on this door...

Entry hallway...

Dining Room table....

Kitchen table....

What I'm calling my tree.... and that's about it.  I know all of you all will be doing over the top decorating and I can't wait to see all of them. I will check in on everyone as time permits.  I try to read all your posts, but I am really behind on commenting and posting....  Hope everyone has a wonderful creative week!!

Hugs,

I hope to visit:

  5. Everything looks so festive Ginger. I really like the jar with the ornaments on your dining room table. I love the wreath on your door. The girls made wreaths too this weekend, and it didn't cost them much at all. I think they will post them soon. I was checking out your house in all the pictures....SO PRETTY! And your HEADER made me smile.

  7. I like your nice welcoming front door and porch! So far I have our tree up but it is naked in the living room! Haha! The ornaments are on the floor ready to be placed...I just need to tear myself away from this computer!

  8. Love magnolia leaves! All of it looks bright and festive. My daughter & sil came over yesterday and put my tree up, decorated it, etc. I went through every plastic tub of decorations and cleared out a ton of it to give away. It's been a long time since I've had a tree up and there's just too much "stuff" for this small space.

I'd be glad to tag along with you on your trip and carry the luggage, etc. Just let me know the flight details! :-)

  10. Love all the greenery.....especially the one on the back door. It is all live greenery? When I used to live in CT, I would cut live greenery on the property and make a huge wreath for the outside of our home. It smelled so good when I was making it! I now live in the Atlanta area. But FYI, grew up in Lexington, Ky.......

  11. Hey Ginger...everything looks wonderful. I love the new pictures in your header. Perfect for the holidays. Don't stress about being behind. Seems I'm always playing catch-up these days. I'm totally jealous of your trip and I don't blame you for not putting up a tree. Very smart. Talk to you soon...Ann

  20. You put me to shame! What lovely decorations! I think I will use my daughter's Charlie Brown tree as nobody wants to help put up the regular one! I tried to comment before and it wouldn't let me, so I will try this way.

    Merry Christmas!
