My Copper Mantel...

Since lots of you are sharing your mantels for fall, I thought I'd share my mantel, but mine is not decorated for fall.  My mantel is in the living room that is never  used until it gets really cold and the basement den is freezing.  So, I don't decorate this room for anything.  This mantel is where my copper collection sits on a daily basis.  Most of the pieces are old and have been collected over many years.  So, here is my copper mantel.  I hope you will enjoy the different pieces...
and here are a few of pieces up close...

You can see the old copper cups wear and tear... and the up close pattern on the large centerpiece.

Have a happy day!

Ginger

  10. Yes that copper soup station would feel right at home! I am getting butterflies just thinking about it. Wish I had a bunch to give away.

Those copper cups are wonderful. My great grandfather was a tinsmith and made things like that out of tin. Congrats on finding such wonderful pieces.

  26. Hi Ginger, your copper collection is very nice. I think copper items give such a warm feeling to a room. The color of copper is a fall color so don't think you haven't decorated for fall. It fits in with the season very well.-------Shannon

  28. Ginger, I love your mantel and all the beautiful copper. I love the way copper oxides and dents when used. It lets you know it is from real life.
I loved seeing the beautiful countryside where you live also.My husband has relatives in Louisville and Beaverdam Kentucky. Our youngest daughter and her family live in Nashville, Tn. We are simple country people as well. I love it that way. Have a great weekend. Ginger

  29. Just beautiful!! Copper reminds me of when I was younger and had a collection. Somehow, over time and a divorce, moving, etc., I don't have it. :-( I can enjoy viewing yours though!
