The Beginning of Autumm Splashes!

I have really cut back on my Holiday and Seasonal decorating over the past few years.  I still do some, but my style has become "simple splashes" of that particular holiday or season.  I am going to start sharing some of my first touches of  "Splashes of Autumn".

This is my front door.  I have added autumn leaves to my wreath and put a splash of burlap and animal print ribbon for my bow.  Very simple and easy.

What have you done to introduce the new season?

(p.s.) I had a little stomach bug the entire weekend, so I'm so far behind reading all my favorite blogs and therefore, I don't know where I'm linking to today. I am lost, but will catch up soon!

Have a happy day.

  5. Ginger, I hope you are feeling better. You did not tell me you were sick! Oh, I love your wreath. It is perfect for fall! I have not done Jack or Squat for fall, yet. I have seen some great inspiration on the web, and I might decorate a little by this weekend.

  6. Your wreath looks wonderful. I looked all over for burlap ribbon and finally ordered some online. I sure hope you are feeling better...I don't think there's much worse than stomach issues!

  8. Ginger,
I have always loved wreaths on the door, and yours is wonderful! I used to have a heart- shaped wreath on my door for many years, and I miss it. Hope you feel better, my friend.

  9. Great job! I so hope that you're feeling better. I've been having some allergy issues but hate to say anything 'cause we have had some cooler temps. :-) Back to 105 yesterday and 106 today. Hopefully, the weather people are right and Thursday will bring cooler temps again with a chance of rain. I'm not sure what "rain" is though. LOL

  10. Hi, just hopped over from Katherine's Corner and have been having a hoot of a time hopping. The wreath is beautiful and looks perfect on your front door. Here in Australia we are entering Spring and I plan to clean my windows (boring) to introduce our new season. TFS.

  12. This is quite effective, simple and nicely done.
I had never heard of seasonal decorating, except for Christmas, until I started reading more blogs. Seasonal decorating is not so common in Australia.
